Case Study
Annual Community Event
For the past decade and counting, I have been leading a team of friends and acquaintances, utilizing appropriate IT tools and communication channels. Once a year, on a specific event, also known as ‘Urs’, we sponsor a well-rounded meal to the entire community at our center, which comprises approximately 2,500 to 3,100 people. Initially, our group consisted of six or seven families; now, it has grown to include 14 families. I have had the honor of founding and leading this group.
About a month before the event, we start our communications to determine who will be participating that year. We then obtain the necessary permissions and begin planning with the leads of other departments and teams involved in this annual event. On the day of the event, my group participates in various activities, involving their family members as well. After the event concludes, each group member remits their payment towards the total cost based on their approval at the start of the event.
We utilize communication management, documentation management, financial management, risk management, quality management, procurement, HR, and several other project management techniques to ensure the success of this event for the past 10 years and counting.
